In March, Winsome Wishes for KIDS (WWKIDS) collaborated with Lead Outreach Initiative and Radar Relief groups and presented "The Best of ME: Village Fair" - a student-centered mental health workshops which took place at the Karl Hendrickson auditorium, Jamaica College on Friday, parents, guardians, and educators. The workshops hosted by Glen Campbell, O.D, saw over 400 persons in attendance over the two days from primary, preparatory, high schools and Mustard Seed children homes.Read more here

Literacy and Pre-screening Assessments

March 12 through 22, 2023, WWKIDS in collaboration with Dr. Clay of Higher Potential for Learning, and distinguished colleagues, (with the assistance of the Windward Institute, and the Haskins Global Literacy Hub), assessed almost 250 students from ten (10) schools to include 2 high school students as well as six (6) neuro psychological education evaluations ( three times more than in June 2022), over a ten (10) day period.Read more here

from the

Book Industry Association of Jamaica (BIAJ)

After 100 nominations from individuals and organizations across 10 parishes in Jamaica.The Book Industry Association of Jamaica(BIAJ) awarded WWKIDS and three others the 2023 Inaugural Literacy Hero Award in the form of grant in the amount of JA$75000, on March 8 at a reception in Kingston,Jamaica. BIAJ shared"You are among the very first group of Jamaican nation builders to be recognized and rewarded for your impactful work in communities across the island helping to transform lives through the power of reading and literacy."
